Project Introduction:

In Haiti, over 80% of the rural population lacks access to safe drinking water, the power grid coverage rate is extremely low, and agricultural irrigation has long relied on expensive diesel pumping. To address the dual challenge of "water scarcity and power shortage," three solar pumping systems funded by Welthungerhilfe (WHH) Germany and supported by the European Union were officially commissioned in May 2025 in the Northwest Department and Artibonite Department of Haiti.
