At present, some farms far away from cities in Guatemala often face the difficulty of irrigation water shortage due to weak power infrastructure and inadequate power supply.

In September 2021, Solartech PB-G2 series 2.2kW AC solar pumping system was successfully installed in a farm in chimaltenango Province, Guatemala. The project is mainly used to provide irrigation water for the farm, provide daily water for farmers and raise some livestock.Before the installation of the project, a gas motor pumping system used in the farm consumed a lot of gas each time due to the excessive power, and the operation and maintenance cost was high. After reassessing the water demand of the farm, the 2.2kW Solartech solar pump can meet the demand.

The system is powered by pure solar energy, without energy storage battery, automatic operation and no need manual guard. Compared with the original gas motor water pumping system, it not only saves the operation and maintenance costs, but also reduces the noise and eliminates the pollution of gas exhaust emissions to the farm environment.
