In January 2024, solar domestic water supply project organized and implemented NGOs, such as GEF and PROAGRO and supported by the UNDP, completed project acceptance and began operation in a village near El Carmen City in the eastern part of Santa Cruz Province.

Previously, due to the lack of stable electricity supply, the village faced difficulties in providing water for daily life, causing great inconvenience to the villagers. The project adopts the Solartech PB-G4 series 1.5kW AC solar pumping system, which uses solar system and complementary power supply with municipal electricity, with priority given to solar system. The system is easy to install, operates automatically, and does not require manual monitoring.

The successful installation of the system has solved the problem of domestic water supply for more than 20 households in the village, ensuring their daily water needs.
