Pasture Irrigation in Tibet

Project Location: Naqu, Tibet(2010)


Project Introduction: Naqu is in Tibet Autonomous Region, China. The average altitude is above 4450m. Naqu has extensive grasslands, and it is a purely pasture region. Solar resource is abundant and solar pumping system can solve the pasture irrigation probelm and rear poultry water drinking.


Solution: Utilizing Solartech PS1100-5  solar water pump system with over 50m3daily water flow.


Economic Benefits: The system can generate 3660kWh each year, in its 25-year lifespan, it can save standard coal 34.4 tons, reduce emission CO15 tons, SO0.7 tons, smoke 0.5tons, lime ash 9 tons.
