Solar Water Conservancy in Hainan

Project Location: Qionghai City, Hainan Province


Project Profile: Since the year of 2009, the application of solar water pump system in small-scale farmland has been nation-widely promoted in response to the sprit of agricultural technology innovation advocated by Party central committee. To improve and push the ecological cycle and economic development of Hainan Province, solartech’s solar pumping system collected by 2011 Key Promotion Guidance Catalogue of Advanced Practical Water Resources Technologies was applied in the small-scale farmland irrigation successfully.
Solution: The project adopted Solartech’s system (PS7500) to irrigate 200 acres of tropical crops such as betel nuts, bananas, pineapple, litchi under the condition that head is 25m, water source is 200m far away from the farmland with the requirement of 260m3/day.
Economic Benefits: The system can generate 29435 KWH annually, in its 25 years of use, it can save standard coal 278 tons, reduce the carbon emission 122 tons, Sulfur dioxide emission 5.5 tons, soot emission 4.2 tons and 72 tons of ash.
